Terms & Conditions

By creating a store on DigitalRateCard, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions in full. These terms are legally binding.

1. Eligibility & Account Registration

You must be at least 18 years of age to register a store.
You must provide accurate, truthful, and complete information during registration.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
Each email address may be used for only one store account.
DigitalRateCard reserves the right to refuse or revoke registration at its sole discretion.

2. Permitted Use of the Platform

DigitalRateCard is a digital catalog and storefront platform for legitimate businesses. You may use the platform to:

Showcase products and services offered by your registered business.
Collect customer inquiries (leads) and display your contact information.
Share your digital rate card with customers via WhatsApp and social media.

3. Prohibited Products & Content

⚠️ Strict Prohibition: Listing, selling, or promoting any illegal, prohibited, or restricted product or service is a serious violation of these Terms and may result in immediate account termination and reporting to law enforcement authorities.

You must NOT list or promote any of the following on your storefront:

Controlled substances & drugs — narcotics, psychotropic substances, or any item classified as a controlled drug under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (India) or applicable local law.
Weapons & ammunition — firearms, explosives, swords, prohibited knives, or any item regulated under the Arms Act, 1959 (India) or equivalent law, unless you hold a valid government-issued license.
Counterfeit & pirated goods — fake branded products, pirated software, media, or any goods that infringe on intellectual property rights under the Trade Marks Act, 1999 or Copyright Act, 1957 (India).
Adult & obscene content — any sexually explicit material prohibited under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Indian Penal Code.
Endangered species & wildlife products — any product derived from protected animals or plants under the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972 (India).
Tobacco & tobacco products marketed in violation of the Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act, 2003 (COTPA).
Hazardous chemicals & substances without appropriate licensing under applicable environmental and safety regulations.
Human trafficking or exploitation services of any form.
Gambling, betting, or lottery services without valid government authorization.
Financial fraud instruments — fake currency, forged documents, or phishing tools.
Any product or service banned or restricted by the Government of India, state governments, or applicable local authorities.

4. Compliance with Indian Laws

All store owners must operate in compliance with applicable Indian legislation, including but not limited to:

Information Technology Act, 2000 & IT (Amendment) Act, 2008
Consumer Protection Act, 2019
Goods & Services Tax (GST) regulations — you are solely responsible for applicable tax filings.
Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 (FSSAI) — if you sell food products, a valid FSSAI license is mandatory.
Legal Metrology Act, 2009 — product weights, measures, and MRP display requirements.
Drug and Cosmetics Act, 1940 — applicable licenses required for pharmaceutical or cosmetic products.
Shop and Establishment Act of your respective state.

5. Content Responsibility

You are solely responsible for all content (text, images, prices, descriptions) you publish on your storefront.
Product images must be original or properly licensed. Do not upload copyrighted images without permission.
Prices displayed must be accurate and not misleading to customers.
DigitalRateCard is not responsible for any disputes between store owners and their customers.

6. Account Suspension & Termination

DigitalRateCard reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account, without prior notice, if:

You violate any provision of these Terms & Conditions.
You are found listing prohibited or illegal products.
You provide false or misleading information during registration.
Your account is involved in fraud, abuse, or any illegal activity.

⚠️ Legal Action: If you sell unauthorized products such as drugs, weapons, counterfeit goods, or any other illegal items, DigitalRateCard will cooperate fully with law enforcement authorities and may file a formal police complaint. We take zero tolerance on illegal activity.

7. Platform Availability & Changes

DigitalRateCard does not guarantee 100% uptime and may perform maintenance at any time.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature with or without notice.
Subscription plans and pricing may change. You will be notified of significant changes.

8. Limitation of Liability

DigitalRateCard is a platform provider only. We are not a party to any transaction between store owners and their customers. We are not liable for:

Loss of business or revenue due to platform downtime.
Disputes arising from products or services listed on your store.
Any tax liability arising from your business operations.
Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages of any kind.

9. Privacy & Data

Customer lead information collected through your store is shared with you to facilitate business inquiries.
You must not misuse, spam, or sell customer contact information collected via your store.
DigitalRateCard stores your business data securely and does not sell it to third parties.

10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Tamil Nadu, India.
